Learners at Masibambisane Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable received school uniforms

The Masibambisane Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children, located in Eldorado Park, is regulated by the Jo’burg Child Welfare organisation. The centre supports communities in Eldorado Park, Slovo Park and Kliptown by providing meals and other basic needs to over 200 children that have been profiled as extremely disadvantaged. The lack of basic needs has a negative impact on their ability to function and participate effectively in society, especially at school. The centre also provides counselling and other child support initiatives.

This year, we decided to make a difference in the lives of learners that are unable to purchase school uniforms. With the help of Standard Bank that matched the financial contributions made by individuals, 18 Masibambisane learners each received a complete school uniform.

“To make a difference in someone’s life, you don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect.
You just have to CARE”.
